Access to this popular picnic and recreation spot in the North West has been closed because of the dangerous condition the bridge over Rapid River which has developed a dangerous lean. The bridge provides the only access to the Milkshakes Forest Reserve.Access will be restored with the rebuilding of the Tayateah Bridge over the Arthur River during the coming summer. The Rapid River Bridge would also be replaced as part of the Tarkine Road project, also due to start over summer. (posted 27/7/2011)

The Duckhole track on Creekton Road will be closed until further notice due to flood damage. Walkways and duckboards have been washed out and some have been washed away. It is not known when the track will re-open. (Posted 21/4/11)

As a result of flooding there has been a major structure failure on Batchelors Track .(605100E/5420300N) ( Batchelors Track comes off Flagstaff Road just south of St. Helens ) The road accesses State Forest and also a major BIS Quarry.

This road is an important access for bushwalkers to the Meander Forest Reserve World Heritage Area. Forestry Tasmania are looking at options to reopen two wheel drive access to these areas.
Additionally the first bridge on the Smoko Road is damaged and unpassable, this is the normal access to the Mother Cummings Creek / Summit track. This bridge is likely to be replaced in late March / early April.

Bridge damage on the M Road has necessitated its closure between the Valley Road turn-off and the Tasman Highway near St Marys. Alternate access to M Road from north is available via Valley Road off the Esk Main Road near Fingal.
