Application Form

Applications for the Community Assist Program 2011/2012 may be submitted under the following two sponsorship categories:


Category One: Care for People (Maximum $5,000)

A series of small grants up to $5,000 to be offered to individuals or organisations undertaking projects with a strong humanitarian focus that benefit their local communities and which are in keeping with Forestry Tasmania’s core values.

Category Two: Pride of Tasmania (Maximum $40,000)

Category Two sponsorships are designed to build relationships with key Tasmanian organisations through the development of strategic ongoing partnerships. Successful applicants will offer large-scale community benefit through contribution to sport, health and wellbeing, science, arts, environment or business.

How to submit your application:


By email -

By hand – 79 Melville St, Hobart between 8.30am and 5pm weekdays

By post - Community Assist, Forestry Tasmania, GPO Box 207, Hobart 7001

Applications must be received by 11:59pm on Wed 31st August 2011 to be eligible.

Please attach any additional information, including support material, on A4 pages as required. Supporting documentation for Category Two may include confirmation letters, quotes, biographies or CVs of key personnel, references, sample promotional materials, or details of previous media coverage.

If submitting your application by hand or post, please provide four copies of your application and supporting material.

All applications will be assessed by a steering committee made up of Forestry Tasmania and Southern Cross employees. The committee’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

All applicants will be notified regarding the outcome of their application during September.

All recipients will be required to provide a brief evaluation report detailing the project/event outcomes and how the sponsorship was used.
