Montezuma Falls Walk and 4WD Track

Montezuma Falls is definitely my favourite walk so far! It is located between Zeehan and Rosebery on Tasmania’s west coast. The weather here really does give you four seasons in one day so be prepared as I experienced hail, rain and sunshine, and it got down to about 7°C at one point so pack for all seasons (even in the middle of summer).

Swan Basin Picnic Area

If you are on the West Coast, Swan Basin Picnic Area is a great secluded spot to have some lunch or stretch your legs after the drive to Strahan. To get there, you head through Strahan (coming from Queenstown), and follow the signs which direct you to Macquarie Heads. The picnic area is located only 7km along the road to Macquarie Heads.
