Care for people awards

Forestry Tasmania is again offering all schools around the State the opportunity to participate in the Forestry Tasmania Care for People award.

The Care for People award is now in its fifth year, in 2010 we had 119 schools participate across the State.

Care for People is one of Forestry Tasmania’s five key values and the program gives schools the opportunity to present an award to a student who has demonstrated compassion or thoughtfulness towards others.

Participating schools receive a perpetual shield on which the name of the winning student for each year is engraved.

Each of the winning students will be presented with backpack, cap, drink bottle, Going Bush DVD and a family pass to Tahune AirWalk or Tarkine Forest Adventures at the school end of year assembly.

Forestry Tasmania is keen for the recipients to receive public acknowledgment of their achievement. Therefore all winners of the 2011 Forestry Tasmania Care for People award will be published in our electronic newsletter Branchline in early 2012 which is distributed to over 3000 recipients within Tasmania, interstate and overseas.
