Night owls are a big part of Mick’s life

CRC student Mick Todd, who recently submitted his PhD thesis, is pictured here with daughter Lucy (born October 2011)

Congratulations to Mick Todd who has had two landmark events in his life journey recently.  Mick recently submitted his PhD thesis on masked owl ecology. During the past few years Mick has examined many aspects of masked owl biology, including diet, calling behavior and habitats in which they are most likely to be found in Tasmania.  You can read Mick’s thesis abstract here.

In addition to his brand new thesis, Mick is now the proud father of his very own human night-owl, a brand new baby girl (no doubt his field training will stand him in good stead for months to come)!  Our congratulations and best wishes go to Mick and his wife, Bron, for both these momentous events and their future developments!
