Subproject 4.2.1 Student Update, December 2011

Robyn Scott (PhD student, University of Tasmania), while not absorbed in writing her thesis or scientific journal articles, has been presenting her research to colleagues, foresters and the general community.  She presented some of her research at the Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) conference in Hobart in November (read her abstract) and gave a presentation at the Australian Society of Soil Science forum in Launceston on June 30th. Robyn and Sue Baker took a trip to north west Tasmania to explain aggregated retention to Forestry Tasmania district staff and members of the general public.

Helen Stephens (PhD student, University of Tasmania) is seen occasionally around the corridors at UTAS, but can usually be found at her computer, diligently writing her thesis.  In late November she was seen presenting her research at the ESA conference in Hobart. You can read her abstract here.
