Stage 3 Economic Evaluation

What is the Stage 3

This is the last of three stages of the Business Case for light rail services in Hobart's Northern Suburbs. This report discusses the economic evaluation of a service between the Hobart CBD and Claremont.

What does it say?

The Stage 3 report explains a model that predicts demand for the light rail service which, in turn, allows the calculation of the associated benefits.
The report outlines results for a high patronage and low patronage scenario.

What happens next?

Consultants ACIL-Tasman will combine the previous stages of the Business Case into a consolidated report and present its findings to the Community Advisory Panel. The report will then be presented to the Minister for Sustainable Transport who will determine future steps to be taken.
