Electronic Billboards

Traffic Act 1925, Section 78(2)

Electronic billboards may not be placed or left on a public street, nor in a public place without the approval of the owner/occupier of that public place.

Electronic billboards may only be displayed by a road authority for traffic management or road safety purposes, for civil or other emergency by an appropriate statutory authority or where written approval is provide by the Transport Commission for legitimate traffic management or road safety purposes.

The use of electronic billboards for roadside advertising is not permitted.
