Ambulance Tasmania provides emergency ambulance care and a non-emergency patient transport service through a network of stations across the state as well as medical retrieval services using fixed wing aircraft and helicopter transfers.

Financial help for travel and/or accommodation costs may also be available to patients under the Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (PTAS).
