Australian Government, 2013-14 Budget
Budget

This Budget builds a stronger, smarter and fairer Australia.

It sets out a responsible path to surplus on a timetable that supports jobs and growth, despite lower than expected revenue.

The Budget builds on the Government’s record of identifying enduring savings, making room for priority investments and fully offsetting these investments over the next decade.

Major reforms to Australia’s school funding arrangements and DisabilityCare Australia, Australia’s most fundamental social reform since Medicare, are delivered.

The Government is also investing in nationally significant infrastructure to boost productivity, relieve congestion and build stronger regions.

This budget reinforces the strength of our economic fundamentals and puts us in a strong position to make the most of the transitions ahead.
