Report Pest Fish

If you see a fish that you think may be a noxious pest fish species such as carp, mainland yabby or Eastern gambusia you should report the sighting to the Service immediately.

If you see a fish that you think may be a noxious pest fish species such as carp, mainland yabby or Eastern gambusia you should report the sighting to the Service immediately by phoning 1300 INFISH.

These three species of fish have the potential to cause serious environmental harm and pose a great threat to the Tasmanian inland fishery.

Other pest fish species such as goldfish, redfin perch and tench are regarded as undesirable pests and are present in a number of waterways.
