Partnering with External Organisations

The Department of Education has developed a framework to guide future partnering arrangements between educational settings and external organisations.

The purpose of this framework is to provide a consistent approach to developing and approving written partnerships with external organisations to ensure that all partnerships:

  • are consistent with Learners First, its vision, mission, priorities and its values of learning, excellence, equity, respect and relationships
  • are consistent with whole-of-agency partnerships that already exist
  • demonstrate a link to improving the learning and development outcomes of Tasmanian learners
  • appropriately manage risk and have no unintended legal consequences.

The framework consists of a suite of resources that includes:

The Partnering Bulletin Board is available to external organisations to provide some information about their services that can be easily accessed by principals, managers and leaders of educational settings. To submit an entry to the Partnering Bulletin Board, simply fill out the submission form.

The department’s intention is for this framework to provide a process that enables educational settings and external organisations to establish rigorous and sustainable partnerships that enhance the learning outcomes of Tasmanian learners.

Process for external organisations to submit to the Partnering Bulletin Board

  • An online submission form is available for potential external organisation partners to complete.
  • Once submitted, the information will be viewed by DoE marketing staff for appropriate and generic content.
  • If appropriate, the submission will be forwarded to the department's Executive for approval.
  • If not appropriate, an email will be sent back to the external organisation requesting edits to be made.
  • It will be the responsibility of the external organisation to update the information they provide.
  • Schools will be alerted to the existence of the Partnering Bulletin Board through department newsletters.
