Many of Tasmania's renowned fishing waters are situated in the highland country and other remote locations. These areas are subject to changeable weather conditions and anglers are reminded to check the weather and to take adequate precautions when setting off on fishing trips in these locations.

The Bureau of Meteorology website provides a range of weather links and alerts that are useful to check before going fishing.

Angler Alliance Tasmania webcams

Anglers Alliance Tasmania's website hosts webcams at several locations on Tasmania's lakes including; Lake Burbury, Bronte Lagoon, Little Pine Lagoon, yingina/Great Lake, Penstock Lagoon, Arthurs Lake, Brumbies Creek and Four Springs Lake. Visit the AAT site here.

Boating weather

Marine and Safetly Tasmania (MAST) has a Telephone Boating Weather Service covering the southern, northern, north-western and eastern regions of the State.
